He was asked to post a picture of a healthy eye.
“I have yet to find one, but this is the closest I have found and even Dr. Morse has not found one in 50 years of looking. Not saying there are not eyes out there (somewhere)…it’s just that we have never found one.” – Gary Parent from his group:

While there are many ways of trying to determine bodily conditions such as hair analysis, the SMA tests, urinalysis, fecal analysis, blood analysis, etc., we do not find one that gives a complete picture of the whole situation than the science of iridology. – Dr. Bernard Jensen
The iris is the most complex external structure of the human anatomy. It has a reflex connection to every organ and tissue of the body.
The eyes are a monitor of the hard drive: the central nervous system and the autonomic nervous system. The optic nerves communicate with both these systems.
We not only see things from the outside, but the eyes reflect things from the inside. Through the optic nerves (which are attached to the eyes) visual information is sent TO the brain.
At the same time there is information sent back to the eyes FROM the brain about the state of the organs and tissues in the body.
There are over 28,000 nerve endings that flow through the optical nerve and correlate with the organs and systems of the body. Why would a nerve ending from the liver, kidneys or heart show up in the iris? They are reflections of the state of a given organ or system. Fibers, patterns, colors, and other characteristics of the iris can be examined to observe information about one’s systemic health.
Iridology is an incredible non-invasive tool which a practitioner will use to see two vital things: 1.) your lymphatic system (where you find tumors, cysts, inflammation, acne, pain, swelling, etc. (your acidosis) and, 2.) the health and condition of virtually every cell in your body.
While eyes have been a focus in civilizations throughout the ages, it wasn’t until recently (the late 1800s) that physicians from Hungary and Sweden began observing eyes and organizing their findings. Iridology has since been practiced, refined and perfected by various practitioners all over the world.
Bernard Jensen, D.C. Ph.D. brought the scope of American iridology to a whole new level in the 1950s and contributed extensively to the improvement of the iris chart through his lifetime of work (having treated over 350,000 people). His iridology chart is still widely used by practitioners worldwide.
Our eyes tell us a lot about our health. The iris reveals your constitutional make-up (genetics), tissue weaknesses (including prolapsed conditions) or strengths, as well as levels of congestion and toxicity (including chemical accumulations). It also reveals the degree to which these obstructions, accumulations and weaknesses are present.
Iridology is not used to diagnose “dis-ease” but as a tool that grants a practitioner insights into the general state of health of a person, enabling one to identify areas of strength, significant tissue weaknesses and toxicity.
What an Iridology Analysis May Reveal
- Inherently strong/weak glands, organs, and tissues
- Different stages of hyperactivity /hypoactivity
- Inflammation
- Lymphatic system congestion
- Results of physical and mental stress or fatigue
- Trauma
- Constitutional weaknesses and strengths
- Bowel health
- The relative ability of a gland, organ, or tissue for retaining nutrients
- Malabsorption
- Circulation
- Areas in the body where acidity has or can accumulate
- Observing overall conditions of the nervous, digestive, elimination, lymphatic and structural systems of the body
What An Iridology Analysis May Not Identify
- Individual diseases (Ex. cancer, diabetes, heart disease)
- The presence of infections or viruses
- Blood levels (Ex. Blood sugars, hormones, BP, liver enzymes)
- Gallstones/kidney stones
- Drugs or medications that a person has previously used
- Presence of sexually transmitted diseases
- Pregnancy
Iridology is an extremely beneficial and exciting field of science. – Marcie Gunderman Troyer, Master Iridologist
The ‘regular’ school of medicine, as a body, has ignored and will ignore this science, because it discloses the fallacy of their favorite theories and practices and because it reveals unmistakably the direful results of chronic drug poisoning and ill-advised operations. – Henry Lindlahr, M.D., referencing the Science of Iridology
The eye is the lamp of the body. If your eyes are healthy, your whole body will be full of light, but if your eyes are unhealthy your whole body will be full of darkness. – Matthew 6:22-23
