Most people believe that taking vitamin supplements is a healthy choice. But the truth is far more complex—and concerning. Virtually all industrially produced “vitamins” are synthetic chemical isolates, extracted using harsh solvents and poisons. These chemicals do not resemble the vitamins found in whole foods. In fact, they may be causing more harm than good.
Please see below a few examples of this so-called isolation process here. These examples include exact descriptions of their process from these articles.
Description of “Isolation”
Vitamin C Isolation
From the following study.
A lead-based chemical process is used to precipitate vitamin C from a complex solution, followed by treatment with alcoholic hydrochloric acid. The final result is a pale yellow crystalline material that is far removed from anything found in citrus fruits or peppers.
Vitamin B1 Isolation
Quote from this linked article.
“”IN the second issue of the Zeitschrift fur Physio-logische Chemie for 1932, Prof. Windaus and his co-workers announce the isolation of the anti-neuritic vitamin B1 in what appears to be the pure state. In 1926, Jansen and Donath reported the preparation of a crystalline substance from rice bran. It had the formula C6H10ON2 and was believed to be the vitamin. However, subsequent work in 1930, notably by Jansen, Kinnersley, Peters, and Reader, showed that the substance was not pure. In 1929, Windaus began preparing vitamin B1 from yeast. During the initial stages of purification, he followed well-known methods. He has recently prepared the gold salt from the neutralised raw extract. He then decomposed this with hydrogen sulphide. From the filtrate, he isolated the picrolonate, which is dimorphous. Analysis of the picrolonate gave a surprising result. The vitamin contains sulphur as well as nitrogen. Its formula is probably C12H17N3OS. The hydrochloride was prepared; its absorption spectrum gave a maximum at 250–260uu. Its potency, determined on pigeons, was 1.4-3.3. This is significantly different from the 97 found by Jansen and others for the substance isolated by the original method of Jansen and Donath. Prof. Windaus states his belief that he has now isolated the pure vitamin.”
Vitamin D Isolation
Taken from this study.
“”Early assays employed organic solvent extraction of the specimen. This usually involved using chloroform-methanol (1:2, v/v).5,6 The process was followed by phase separation with chloroform and water.
7 The lower chloroform phase contains 85-95% of the vitamin D. It must be taken to dryness before puri¢cation can be performed. More recently, methanol and hexane have been used for sample extraction.
8 However, this type of organic solvent extraction also removes a large amount of the total lipids from the plasma sample, necessitating additional purifcation with open cartridge silica chromatography prior to assay””
Keep in mind that the chromatography tests cannot be considered legitimate. By the time the sample reaches the test, it has been totally poisoned and utterly destroyed. It bears absolutely no resemblance to something found in whole food.
We can detect actual biological substances such as hormones and different components of blood plasma with simple centrifugal separation. We can also use direct mechanical extraction. We can isolate non-biological chemicals using other non-biological chemicals without destroying them. However, biological material cannot be separated from the body in which it operates. Poisoning it with toxic chemicals would destroy its nature and function.
This is exactly why all “vitamins” on the market are toxic. They do not represent anything that occurs in whole food.
All vitamins are toxic. They serve as nothing more than generic, over-the-counter drugs. These drugs stimulate or anesthetize us out of pain and inflammation. This comes at the expense of our genuine health.
In short, they are no different than any other kind of so-called “medicine.” However, they do not require any prescription.
Our body is designed to consume certain things. These truly healthy items do not damage the body with “side effects”.
From that clarified condition the body, if fed clean, healthy food, can build itself back in proper form.
I have compiled a list of the so-called Vitamin family. It includes their primary ingredient and its harmful effect on the human body.
A. Retinol
High doses may cause enlargement of the liver, dry skin, and hypervitaminosis A. High doses during pregnancy may harm the fetus.
B1.Thiamine
Blue colored lips, chest pain, feeling short of breath, black, bloody, or tarry stools. Coughing up blood or vomit that looks like coffee grounds.
B2.Riboflavin
Riboflavin is considered likely safe to use during pregnancy, but your dose needs may be different during this time. You should not use riboflavin without a doctor’s advice if you are pregnant.
B3. Niacin
Severe skin flushing combined with dizziness. Rapid heartbeat.
Itching. Nausea and vomiting.
Abdominal pain. Diarrhea. Gout.
Liver damage.
B5. Pantothenic Acid
Muscle pain. Joint pain.
Diabetes mellitus, new-onset.
Sore throat. Headache.
Weakness/lack of energy. Dizziness. Creatine phosphokinase (CPK) increased.
B6. Pyridoxine Hydrochloride
Headache, nausea, drowsiness, numbness/tingling of arms/legs.action, including: rash, itching/swelling (especially of the face/tongue/throat), severe dizziness, trouble breathing. Allergic reaction, including: rash, itching/swelling (especially of the face/tongue/throat), severe dizziness, trouble breathing.
B7. D Biotin
Trouble sleeping, skin rashes, digestive upset, problems with insulin release, and kidney problems.
B9. Folic Acid
Bad taste in your mouth. Nausea.
Loss of appetite. Confusion.
Irritability. Sleep pattern disturbance.folic acid can cause a serious allergic reaction (Anaphylaxis).
B12. Cyanocobalamin
Serious eye symptoms can include sudden vision loss or blurred vision. They may also involve tunnel vision. You might experience eye pain or swelling. Seeing halos around lights could be another symptom.
Serious heart symptoms can include fast, irregular, or pounding heartbeats. You might feel fluttering in your chest. Shortness of breath is also a symptom. Sudden dizziness, lightheadedness, or passing out can occur too. Severe headache might occur. Confusion or slurred speech are possible. You might experience arm or leg weakness. Trouble walking could develop. Loss of coordination or feeling unsteady are symptoms. Very stiff muscles can happen. A high fever or profuse sweating might occur. Tremors could also happen.
C. Ascorbic Acid
stomach cramps, nausea, heartburn, and headache. The chance of getting these side effects increases with higher doses. Taking more than 2000 mg daily is possibly unsafe and may cause kidney stones and severe diarrhea. People who have had a kidney stone face increased risk when taking amounts greater than 1000 mg daily. This increase raises the chance of getting more kidney stones.
High doses of ascorbic acid taken during pregnancy have been reported to cause conditional scurvy in infants following birth.
D. Cholecalciferol
Nausea/vomiting, constipation, loss of appetite, increased thirst, increased urination, mental/mood changes, unusual tiredness.
Rash, itching/swelling (especially of the face/tongue/throat), severe dizziness, trouble breathing.
E. d-Alpha Tocopherol, Alphatocopherol, Tocopherol Acetate
Nausea, diarrhea, stomach cramps, tiredness, dizziness, blurred vision, and headache may rarely occur.easy or unusual bleeding/bruising.
Allergic reaction, including: rash, itching/swelling (especially of the face/tongue/throat), severe dizziness, trouble breathing.
K. Menadione, Phytonadione, Naphtoquinone
Jaundice, hyperbilirubinemia, hemolytic anemia, and kernicterus in infants.
